Esports Entertainment Group: A full-stack esports and online gambling company

There's a certain industry that is arguably one of the fastest growing industries at this time, and it’s one that not too many have heard of. The older generation tends to disagree with the growth of this industry because it’s something that was completely unheard of when they were younger. Whereas, the millennials took this once, casual hobby, and are turning it into a career for themselves and are making around six figures for it.

The esports industry today is elevating and the trends are vast and emerging. Currently, official Olympic sanctioned councils are embracing esports, further; Esports is approved with Dota 2 and League of Legends having been recognized as medaling sports for the upcoming 19th Asian Games, which is planned to be held in Hangzhou, China in September 2022.

Many established tournaments are coming up, and viewership is slated to grow massively. The Dota 2 International, League of Legends World Championship, and CSGO Blast Pro World Finals are blazing the trail, but new events are being added all the time, take for instance WePlay Esports Invitational. WePlay is adding Rocket League to its schedule with a $100,000 dollar purse attached.

The top esports on the tournament circuit tend to jockey for position, but the top 5 or 6 are CS:GO, DOTA2, Overwatch, PUBG, COD and of course Fortnite. There are many other games that are up and coming or that re-rise to prominence when large tournament events provide a boost or updates occur to the game. Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends and Fortnite operate on a Season model, much like TV. The games can get fairly significant changes, new map updates, balancing passes, etc and fans flock back to them to see how they have evolved. With esports viewership the Top games on Twitch include League of Legends, Call of Duty Warzone, Valorant and Fortnite.

It was during the pandemic that Esports witnessed widespread adoption related to gambling side of “virtual sports” like NBA 2K, F1 Racing, Madden. Best example for this is partnership of the company with 13 pro teams on EGL tournament platform.

With COVID lockdowns being the new normal, the esports industry and its events have forced to react and move to embrace more online events. Since the industry was already very online focused and had adopted streaming technologies early on, the company was poised to weather the tumultuous times and come out ahead.

With a strong bond towards smartphone, mobile entertainment is all over the place and games have a huge impact too. Mobile esports market is getting more demands for Clash Royale and Vex. Other booming games today are Call of Duty, PUBG mobile and Arena of Valor.

Esports is now a trend among NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, and FIFA teams. These partnerships are really helping the company push its games division in multitude ways. The firm has esports tournament offerings via EGL.tv for online tournaments that players can participate in as well as brick and mortar LAN cafes with its Helix esports centers at strategic locations at the pro team stadiums/arenas.

EEG is prepping up to have a breakthrough 2022, as it has already been highlighted in an H.C. Wainwright report looking at the earnings preview and showing positive momentum. EEG has partnered with ASUCLA to bring a hi-tech LAN center to the campus and this hint towards a very exciting future as it gets involved on other campuses and expands its reach and connect players with its industry through brick and mortar locations that are very student friendly.

EEG has signed a partnership agreement with Game Fund Partners LLC to become a part of their Venture Capital Arm and a new planned $300 million dollar game fund. As part of the new multi-year agreement, the Company will initially invest approximately 2 million dollars of EEG shares into 20% of the General Partnership of the fund and will become an integral part of working with the management and investment committee for the entity. “We are pleased to be a part of this rapidly growing investment fund that is involved in so many excellent projects in the gaming space and beyond. We believe this relationship and investment is the just the beginning of our substantial growth in financing and partnering with major projects and sports teams throughout the gaming industry. This partnership opens up a new path for substantial growth and added economic firepower for the company,” said Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group. “Our strong partnership with their first-class team has already resulted in the development of Esports gambling regulation in Ohio and other states. Working with Game Fund Partners has been rewarding and a source of great opportunity for continued investment.”

Through EEG Games and EGL.tv the firm offers a tournament platform that empowers gamers to form teams, practice their strategies and compete against others for real world prizes.  EEG is opening Helix eSports gaming centers in various locations around the country powered by software from GGCircuit and Genji that will allow us to make inroads into crypto currency mining, provide stats monitoring for gameplay, broadcasting of live events, etc.

Esports Entertainment Group currently owns and operates five Helix eSports centers, including two of the five largest centers in the country. They offer various experiences, including casual play, competitive tournaments, high school and youth leagues, STEM programming and esports bootcamps, among others. Helix eSports centers have become the destination for social and competitive gamers alike, and the Helix eSports UCLA location is poised to take collegiate gaming in Westwood to the next level.

"We believe this first-of-its-kind facility will create a unique opportunity for UCLA students to enjoy gaming in a new light through our unique programming and social setting. Additionally, we believe that by engaging students on the professional front, we can create lasting impact in the esports space and help create a sustainable, high caliber workforce for the larger industry," said Grant Johnson.
