Eturi Corp. — Providing essential cross-platform solutions for mobile devices

Today, we all have mobile phones and other digital gadgets that overwhelmingly surround us. Although these technologies can be helpful in so many ways, they can be a concern for children who are not well-aware of the darker side of the tech world. This was the primary concern that laid the foundation of Eturi Corp. As a father of two, the founder of the company, Amir Moussavian, saw first-hand the need to manage screen time. Back in 2014, after coming from long days at the office, he would be excited to spend quality time with his family, but the children weren't 'present' — they were texting at the dinner table and scrolling through social media apps during conversations. It felt like every family moment was being hijacked by screens or by arguments about screens.

So, he decided to write up a 'pact' that positioned device use as a privilege and outlined expectations for that privilege to continue: no screens during family meals, for an hour before bed, during homework time. The app went through a lot of iterations and is now the flagship product of Eturi Corp. Later, the company also released Motiv, a mobile-first executive dashboard for remote leaders. We interviewed Amir Moussavian, the CEO of Eturi Corp., to understand more about the company. Here are a few excerpts of the interview:

Q. How do you help people get access to technology wherever they go?

Eturi is focused on developing technology for mobile phones. We are a mobile solution because that is not only convenient but a need for users. With the rise of cell phone usage and increased technology, people and businesses need real-time reporting and information, and they expect nothing less.

Q. What was the inspiration for the Motiv App, and how are business leaders benefited from The Motiv app?

When we first entered the Pandemic, my priority was to ensure the safety of my team, which meant a quick pivot to work from home. But with that shift, I experienced how challenging it was to lead effectively from a decentralized operation. I've always valued the corner office vantage point – being able to tune into the hum and buzz of my team collaborating. Who is meeting whom? Is my product manager getting enough minutes with appropriate stakeholders in advance of an upcoming release?

With the shift to remote work, that view went away, but I could get a similar picture with technology. With Eturi's years of experience in remote management software, I also knew I had the best team to develop a convenient, easy-to-use app. Now, I can access key insights from my device and subsequently use them to make decisions and drive business effectively.

Motiv is your corner-office view into today's distributed workforce. It is a mobile-first dashboard providing productivity metrics on your teams. Developed by Eturi, an expert in scalable remote management, Motiv offers unparalleled privacy as it requires no plug-ins, and nothing is downloaded on company computers. While Motiv is in its infancy, we have an aggressive roadmap to enhance features both horizontally and vertically. While we have built out a plan, we will also remain flexible to customer feedback to ensure we develop the enhancements that will provide the best product for our customers.

Q. To ensure the privacy of your customers, what does Motiv do?

We value privacy, and as such, when we developed Motiv, we made sure that it required no plug-ins and nothing to be installed on company computers. Data is provided at a high level and does not access detailed content. We like to say Motiv offers insights, not an oversight.

Q. Why is OurPact trusted everywhere? Throw light on OurPact rules.

Our mission for OurPact is to deliver a tool that empowers parents to raise smart digital citizens so children can effectively learn to navigate the ever-growing digital ecosystem. Our children aren't just digital natives; they are mobile natives and digital octopuses. They do not know a world before digital, and a mobile phone is an extension of their hand. We call them digital octopuses because you often find them not only using their mobile phone but also ipads, chrome books, laptops, or gaming devices, all at the same time. Because of all the opportunities that exist, it's imperative for parents to have a tool that allows them to help learn how to navigate a digital ecosystem.

OurPact allows parents to set up individual children's profiles on their mobile phones, set digital schedules (when they can be active online and when they must be offline), block inappropriate apps and websites, and even receive screenshots of their digital activity. We also provide a feature that lets parents know when new apps are downloaded. It works on both iOS and Android devices. It also has a GPS locator and notifier that allow you to find your phones and, more importantly, ensure your children are where they should be (e.g., set a geo-fence around their school and receive a notification if they leave the premises before the set time). But, the most important component and what drives OurPact is to provide the tools for parents to consistently have open communication about digital habits.

Q. How is OurPact family-oriented?

The name says it all – "OurPact." While the app does provide tools for parents to help keep their children safe, we want to ensure that at whatever age your child is, parents, form a pact with their children to be smart digital citizens. This will set up their children for success as they become adults.
