Evolving Solutions: Leading Technologies, from Expert Talent

Evolving Solutions was founded in 1996 and provides deep technological expertise and full-service solutions to their clients. Co-founded by Jaime Gmach, who continues to lead the company as its President and CEO, Evolving Solutions has focused on developing long-term and trusted client relationships as a leading technology solution provider to businesses throughout North America. To put it in simple terms, technology is now at the heart of every business, and making sure that the right technology from the right provider is exactly what Evolving Solutions help achieve.

The company was founded with a purpose of creating enduring relationships with its clients. Key to its purpose is to help clients simplify technology, while focusing on the company’s core values: do the right thing, be a team player and be humbly confident. And this comes from a leader who has spent the past 30 years serving in various leadership roles within the technology industry and has been named a Finance & Commerce Innovator of the Year for leading Evolving Solutions onto the cutting edge of server and storage virtualization solutions.

Keeping it simple

Evolving Solutions was created to be a different type of technology partner for its clients. It focuses on best of breed industry solutions from leading technology firms like IBM, HPE, NetApp, Nutanix, Cisco, etc. Instead of reselling the solutions like any other IT solutions provider, they provide extensive expertise and service to make sure clients get what they need to exceed their business objectives. Evolving Solutions has expert sales and technical resources to design, deliver and implement the solutions from key technology partners, who are leaders in their field.

Additionally, their support teams–agreeably one of the best–ensure that clients are satisfied from the initial meeting all the way to order processing, maintenance delivery, invoicing and their “white-glove delivery service.”  While the company certainly has grown into a position of strength since its inception, being named as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the United States by CRN

Magazine, its success has only partially been achieved due to strategy. The company is driven by a service centered mentality, ensuring clients will know each project is done right, every time.

Doing it Right

The two decade old company narrows its success down to a handful of factors and without surprise, all of them are attributed to providing a top-notch experience for their clients. For Evolving Solutions, it means having local expertise available in the markets it serves. Having the right talent in the right place is key to understanding the local needs and it is a differentiator to businesses in that particular market.

Evolving Solutions strives to provide customized, tailor-made procurement options and provide financial flexibility to its clients. This provides a better understanding of what problems its clients are facing and trying to solve, while bringing creativity to the table to help address the obstacle.

All employees focus on building enduring relationships and they take the long view on relationships and solution implementation. Rather than just finishing a job and moving on, the company measures its success on the length of its client relationships. Lastly, the company likes to say it knows what it is not. They will turn down projects where they are unable to deliver the quality service and experience that clients have come to expect.

Future Ready

While Evolving Solutions is still a growing company, it already has sights set on what’s next. The company has developed a methodology from the input received from its team and partners. Termed the Business Evaluation Approach, or BEA for short, it helps in developing business ideas and innovative approaches that work for both the company and its clients. During each phase of the process there is a “go / no-go” decision on whether to move a business idea forward. The idea here is to get a ‘no’ faster on an idea so that when the product in question is launched, it is embraced with a resounding ‘yes’ from its clients.

To facilitate the BEA and the process it entails, the company created the post of Manager of Innovation who will be the emerging business leader for Evolving Solutions. A team has been named to assist in the process, and the associated budget and financial targets have been established to determine what future success looks like.

The technology world, as seen from the eyes of the team at Evolving Solutions, stands on three distinct pillars. They are core technologies like compute, storage and virtualization, which the company delivers extremely well. Then there are transitional technologies like hybrid cloud and hyper converged, and finally there are emerging technologies. The emerging business unit, which facilitates the BEA, was launched for focusing on the future. CEO Jamie Gmach expects to see solutions emerging soon from the BEA process and an increase in revenue due to the new solutions. It seems the sky itself is the limit for the company as its teams, clients and partners look to evolve and grow.
