Meet the leader

Lee Valenta, CEO

Mr. Valenta brings his 35 years of experience in operations, finance and M&A to hCentive. Prior to hCentive he was a global managing partner for Arthur Andersen LLP and served on the firm’s National Healthcare Practice. He spent 8 years at Hunter-Keith Inc., as the CFO and VP of corporate development.

He has also served at OptumInsight, where he led the operations for all market segments and 13,000 employees as the COO. He also served on the President’s Council for 5 years. He also led the committee for OptumInsight. He served the company at the capacity of a CFO prior to becoming the COO. He has been on the Board of Directors of Pillsbury United Communities, a Minneapolis-based social services agency, for the last 10 years.

An active member in his church, he serves on the church’s council and on a committee to support the education of seminary students. He has a BA in accounting from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He is a member of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants.

The Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference (MESC) has been held every year since the 1990s. Every year it draws thousands of attendees who come to the MESC to exchange ideas pertaining to Medicaid systems and affected health policies.
