Offering a complete business model for starting a cryotherapy wellness center- Bill Jones and Kyle Jones, iCRYO Franchise Systems LLC

Entrepreneurs throughout modern economic history have been disproportionately responsible for truly radical innovations—the airplane, the railroad, the automobile, electric service, the telegraph and telephone, the computer, air conditioning, and so on— that not only fundamentally transformed consumers’ lives, but also became platforms for many other industries that, in combination, have fundamentally changed entire economies.

The importance of entrepreneurs extends beyond the effect those individuals have on their own companies. However, they impact their broader communities and even the world in some cases. Entrepreneurs can change the way we live and work. If successful, their revolutions may improve our standard of living. In short, in addition to creating wealth from their entrepreneurial ventures, they also create jobs and conditions for a flourishing society.

However, achieving this feat is not easy, especially since finding the right marketplace for the right idea is difficult. However, that’s precisely what Bill Jones and Kyle Jones did when they decided to start iCRYO Franchise Systems LLC in 2015. iCRYO is a recovery and wellness franchise in North America. The business provides Whole Body Cryotherapy, Compression Therapy, Infrared Sauna, Local Cryotherapy, Cryo Facials, Body Sculpting, Red-light Therapy, ZeroBody Dry Float, iV infusions, and Vitamin Shots. iCRYO offers a comprehensive business model for starting a cryotherapy wellness center.

Following are excerpts from the conversation with Bill Jones, CEO and Co-founder, and Kyle Jones, COO and Co-founder, of iCRYO Franchise Systems LLC.

Q. What characteristics or skills are most important for startup leaders?

Bill: You must always lead by example. A “coaching approach” is always good to keep between the employer and employee. You need to build people up and grow together as a team. Focusing on your employees’ strengths and placing them in the correct working positions is vital. As a result, someone could thrive in the proper job duty. Being versatile and knowing your people are enormous in leadership. Trusting your employees to have your back and having theirs creates a foundation for an enjoyable and comfortable culture. The company culture and ensuring it stays intact are vital metrics for leaders and their businesses. Finally, you cannot be scared of change. As the world evolves, we must evolve with it. As your industry evolves, we must evolve with it as well.

Q. Entrepreneurship can be a tough road. How do you stay focused on moving forward and making progress in the difficult moments?

Kyle: Always remember why you started down that path in the first place. Keep in mind the people’s lives you are affecting from this venture. It’s essential to remain mindful of the people who rely on you to succeed. Strive always to put people first, help grow the culture and keep the positive momentum going from day to day. Always hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Plan years in advance, but always take your business day by day.

Q. How do you strategize decision-making, learning, and execution?

Bill: I make sure I listen more than I talk. You have two ears and one mouth for a reason. You should always be listening to what others are saying. After you hear things, you need to validate them as facts before acting on them. Acting on words and no factual data could set you back. I also make sure I collaborate with my peers. Put the brainpower of several people to work rather than just your own. Collaboration and a team effort bring more ideas, feedback, and solutions to the table. The collaboration will ensure you get the best viable solution to the table for execution. Planning is crucial but preparing to roll it out “live” is particularly important. Being able to execute on time, adjust on the fly, and coordinate with your team is crucial.

Q. Has anyone in your network been important in your journey?

Kyle: Every person that has ever crossed intomy network has been important to me. I try to surround myself with worldly individuals who have achieved more in life than I have, allowing me to grow in ways that enhance my abilities to do better in all aspects of life. I either learn the correct way to do things from people, or I experience the wrong way to do things from people, which teaches me a life lesson. I view failure as a lesson on how not to do something, so you learn and do not make that mistake in the future. Making mistakes and failing are ways to grow through life. The many people I have had the pleasure of learning the good and the bad from are essential to me, my growth, my ups and downs, and ultimately, my success.

Q. How do you think about philanthropy now?

Bill: Philanthropy has always been a part of my business model. Giving back to those in need is extremely important to us. We are thankful, as a company, that we can give back to non-profit organizations in various forms. We have always envisioned contributing as a company by donating to a good cause, whether by food, facilities, athletics, supplies, or any other contribution that the organization deems valuable. Giving back time, money, and energy is one of the many pieces of me and iCRYO that I only intend to grow.
