This is where professional IT support is required. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted businesses’ plight when faced with poor IT infrastructure. For many, moving to remote work was easy. They had the technology and planned to access remote work in place securely. However, it was almost impossible for others and has even led to business failures.

In Conversation with Hayder Ali, CEO of In2Networks

Q. How do you go about innovation in your organization?

Over the years, we have understood the importance of innovation in our field and have put proven processes in place to drive innovation. Some of the key steps here include:

  1. Constant investment in idea generation
  2. Creating a favorable company culture
  3. Developing deep customer understanding
  4. Using external sources of ideas
  5. Ensuring executive-level focus
  6. Partnering with both our clients and vendors for new ideas
  7. Creating incentivizing and rewarding programs for innovation

Q. What capabilities should leaders have to be more innovative, according to you?

We know from experience that innovation can be driven only with improvements in leadership skills across all verticals. Innovation cannot occur by itself. It needs effective leadership. Leaders must have the following capabilities to be able to be more innovative:

  1. Managing Risks: Innovative leaders are great at managing risks effectively. They are bolder in experimenting with newer approaches.
  2. Demonstrating Curiosity: Innovative leaders also have a strong desire to know more. This is why they always take the initiative to learn something new, which shows engagement.
  3. Leading with Confidence: Innovative leaders are proactive and demonstrate confidence when leading. They turn difficult situations into opportunities and show their powerful capabilities while taking responsibility for their decisions.
  4. Seizing Opportunities: Innovative leaders are proactive and take the initiative and responsibility. They are also great at identifying and seizing opportunities.

Q. How do you go about business model innovation?

Business model innovation is an essential element for the success of any business. The business model is how we create, deliver, and capture value. We start by identifying customer value. This involves finding out what job they want to be done, the obstacles they are currently facing, and what they are using to overcome those obstacles or whether they are putting them off. This is followed by identifying the strengths and objectives of the business and patterns by benchmarking the innovators. The best business models are custom-designed to our client’s needs, industries, and business goals. Then, we bring all our findings together to create the perfect model.

Talk about your industry experience and learnings

We combine technology with business ideas and have a decade of experience providing technology solutions to businesses and organizations from different industries. Some of the sectors we have worked in and the key learnings we have gained over the years are:

          1. Commercial

We provide superior IT services and support to commercial businesses and organizations to assist them in better managing their business processes. Our services and solutions are also geared toward helping our clients deliver unique experiences to their customers. We know what it takes to assist businesses of all sizes to become more efficient, boost productivity, and reduce operational costs.

          2. Education

IT and communications systems have become a necessity in schools and colleges. They play an essential role in enhancing the learning process and experience, not just for the students but also for the educators. And this is where we play a pivotal role.

Over the years, we have identified key areas where educational institutions face technological challenges. And we feel proud of being able to identify and address these challenges. For example, it has been common in the education sector to scale and meet bandwidth demands for different schooling needs, including online classes. We have helped our clients upgrade and move over to better technology solutions to streamline their operations.

We have also helped government agencies and non-profit organizations benefit from the latest technology.

          3. Global Operations

Our business is headquartered in Australia, but we have operations and a local presence in the Middle East and the United Kingdom as well. We have global operations and clientele, and this includes enterprises and government organizations. We recently participated in the ATSO Iraq 2022 and built strong relations with the government, enterprise, and educational sectors in the Middle East.

Cyber-attacks have become a serious threat to governments and enterprises at the global level. We deliver actionable intelligence for the proactive identification of threats, take proven steps to quarantine and alleviate damage and analyze data to prevent potential further cyber-attacks. Our cyber security solutions and continuous monitoring tools work closely with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) which is developed close to global standards.

After our participation at the ATSO Iraq 2022, we were exposed to a new dimension of cybersecurity – the anti-terrorism objectives of governments and security enterprises. Our capabilities and experience enabled us to rise to the occasion and address the concerns and challenges faced by the government agencies and enterprises that approached us.

Modern-day enterprises and government agencies need a collaborative and integrated security approach that automatically alerts and shares intelligence to ensure a real-time response to threats. We have become specialists when it comes to developing and providing customized IT security solutions for the most complex and largest government projects, even in the world’s most threatened regions.

Q. How do you organize for game-changing disruption?

Industry disruption involves the combination of simplicity and the best technology for solving customer problems. We follow this simple principle to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. Over the years, this has worked well for us and has kept bringing our customers back.

We have created a culture of shared innovative leadership. From experience, we know that game-changing thinking can only be embedded into our business by nurturing passion. This has helped our people to become the driving force behind our business growth.

We are constantly asking ourselves and our employees the following questions:

  1. How can we help our people find the thing that motivates them?
  2. How can we create an environment and work method that allows our team to get immersed, driven, and supportive?
  3. How can we identify a common goal that brings together the passion among each individual?
  4. How can we take our clients and team outside of their comfort zone?

It is paramount to create every experience around such an approach before the technology can come in to play its role in facilitating creative ideas.
