Q. How did you come up with the idea of starting Lend At Ease?

My business partner Nick and I wanted to help make the mortgage transaction process as easy as possible for every client. We wanted to distinguish ourselves with our level of service and provide our clients an experience that any other company could not match. As a recent immigrant to Canada, I was well aware of the challenges many people face in understanding the mortgage process and managing the financing over their homes. There are many intricacies involved that the average person has trouble grasping.

Q. Why is using a mortgage broker viable?

When clients go to a bank, they are only presented with offers from that lender. However, as mortgage brokers, we have access to many different lenders and can give the client the most suitable option in the market. We pride ourselves on providing the best customer service in the industry, including the banks. Furthermore, when you go to a bank, they will pull your credit, and if you do not like their offer, you have to go to another bank where they will pull your credit again. Too many pulls on a credit report can be harmful to a client. However, a Mortgage Brokerage will only need to pull your Credit one time to present different offers across the market to you.

Q. Why is Lend At Ease the best option over others?

Q. What credentials are you looking for before approving the loan?

As Mortgage Brokers, we work with Lenders to approve our clients for mortgages and/or loans. We work to ensure that the amount the client is looking for is affordable for them and try to find the most suitable product. These are a few of the questions we must ask:

  • What is the client’s Credit History and Score?
  • How much Down Payment does the client have (or how much equity is available in their property)?
  • What are the client’s employment history and income?

Q. What are your business goals?

  • Provide Sound Market Knowledge – We want to keep our clients up to date with the Latest Market and Industry Trends and make sure we incorporate the current tools

  • Enhance the quality of training for our Agents – We want to ensure that our agents receive the best education using various tools and platforms. Our goal is to continuously innovate our training program to enhance the development of our team

Q. What are the pros and cons of being a female entrepreneur?

Pros - Being a female entrepreneur is the gratifying experience of knowing you are an idol and inspiration to many eager potential female entrepreneurs in the industry. It is very fulfilling for me to help other women and young professionals find success in this industry. I want to do everything that I can to help grow the presence of successful female entrepreneurs.

Cons – The mortgage industry is very competitive and male-dominated. As a female entrepreneur in the mortgage industry, sometimes it can be challenging to gain respect in an environment where females are not very present. However, because I have a very resilient character and a wealth of experience in customer service, I can enhance my reputation in this industry.

Q. What tips do you have for other women who want to start their own businesses?

My tip for other female entrepreneurs is to be brave. If starting a brokerage is your passion, don’t let anything stand in your way. You will face challenges. It was hard and challenging when I came to Canada because I had to leave my home and come to a brand new country. However, I found success as an entrepreneur because I had drive, patience, and passion. If you have the same, then success will find you.

Q. What impact do you want to have in the world or change you want to see or make?

The most significant impact I want to have in the world is to help people. We often face situations where clients have very few options as mortgage brokers. It is our duty to get the clients into the best position possible financially. Beyond mortgages, I also want to make the world a place where women and children can always feel safe. There are too many women and children in society who are abused or do not get to experience a happy life. I want to help ensure that every family is safe, and I’m looking into charity work and how I can help them. We are lucky for what we receive and should always try to give back in any way we can.
