Newgen Software Inc. was founded in 1992 by Diwakar Nigam. The inspiration behind its inception was the vision to address the increasing need for digitization and automation in business processes. Diwakar Nigam, with his background in software development, saw an opportunity to create a company that could help organizations streamline their workflows and manage their documents more efficiently. Powered by an incisive mind coupled with rich business acumen, she handles the global marketing portfolio of Newgen. With 22 illustrious years of experience as a marketer in the IT B2B space, she has virtually touched all the tenets of marketing. She leads all marketing functions across the global business, including corporate marketing, vertical and horizontal marketing, and corporate communications. Runki has a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly dynamic market environments, focusing on thought-to-execution leadership, delivering results, and creating high-performing teams.
Her career trajectory reflects rich experience with global IT giants, including Microsoft, IBM, Accenture, Wipro, Xebia, and Coforge. Prior to joining Newgen, she was the Chief Marketing Officer at Xebia and Head of Global Marketing/CMO at Coforge. She also had a stint at Wipro, where she handled the portfolio of Global Head—Marketing, Customer Acquisition, and Branding. She started her career at Microsoft and then joined IBM.
Runki has a staunch belief that marketing IT products allows her to navigate the thin line between B2B and B2C. She has a Master’s in Mass Communications and Journalism and an Executive Management degree from ISB, Hyderabad.
