Saba Software: Ultimate Talent Experience for Your People

Success begins with the people you have in the workplace. It is an indisputable fact that the people that work day-in and day-out bring out the real potential of an organization. But the world is changing very fast. Today, every successful organization must deliver an experience at work that is more connected. Saba with its expertise makes this happen.

Founded in 1997, Saba is one of the great San Francisco software stories that started out from a garage. In the beginning, the company started out by pioneering the Learning Management System (LMS). So, from the very beginning the Dublin, CA-based company has been changing the experience of work for its customers.

2005 was a pivotal year for the company as it made the connection between training and career development. The company launched Saba Performance management. They also started expanding into integrated talent management. This enabled their customers to bring together multiple phases of the employee lifecycle.

But the journey had just begun for the company as it eventually had multiple solutions like the fully integrated Virtual Classroom and Saba Succession and Saba Workforce Planning which helps leaders all over the world. In 2009, Saba made its entry into the cloud scene. And there was no turning back for the company ever since.

Today, Saba’s cloud-based talent platform leverages the science of talent to deliver a personalized talent experience for everyone. The platform is powered by AI and machine learning. It helps the talent leaders by delivering actionable insights to them. The company’s product solutions help organizations all over the world attract recruits who are a perfect fit.

Talent Management Leader

Saba has worked with many successful organizations and its experience with talent management has brought it many laurels and recognitions ever since it was established. But the past two years have filled up their trophy cabinet up to the brim.

The latest recognition for Saba came when the National Association of Business Resources named the company as one of the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Nation. The company received this recognition for the second consecutive year. Saba had one of the highest ratings in the employee survey that was used to adjudge the winners of this recognition. Recently, in February 2020, Saba was also presented with three Brandon Hall Group (BHG) Excellence in Technology Awards at the HCM Excellence Conference and Gala.

Acquired by CornerStone

Saba has delivered and supported learning, performance, and recruiting for over 20 years through its product solutions. In February 2020, CornerStone OnDemand Inc., a people development solutions company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Saba in a cash and stock transaction which was valued at approximately $1.395 billion.
