As a renowned international energy services and engineering solutions group, the company in the age of digital growth has expanded its activities to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Education & Training (E&T). Education and Training- The Key

Serba Dinamik is now revolutionizing education and training through its efforts in the space. The company’s Education & Training (E&T) business unit offers various certification programs and short courses mainly centered on engineering courses for current and future professionals.

Beyond its core businesses, Serba Dinamik is also exploring ways in which digitalization and related frontier technology can be used for the consumer market. One of these innovations came through the group’s Qwik Pay app. It is a ticketless and cashless payment solution that was rolled out towards the end of 2018. It was initially developed as a parking management app. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the e-wallet has since expanded its use to the retail space. Its subscribers have also grown significantly to 50,000 with 15,000 of them signing on in the last four months. The number of QwikPay subscribers is expected to jump exponentially in the coming time, following a recent deal signed with an Indonesian province boasting a population of 18 million.

In July, Serba Dinamik also opened a Virtual Reality Park located in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, Malaysia to visitors. The park comprises VR entertainment rides, an innovation lab, and an eSports Centre. The VR entertainment rides are aimed at igniting creativity and innovation among youth, while the innovation lab serves as a platform for startups to test their products and solutions and network not only among themselves but also with Serba Dinamik’s innovation labs and its partners in India, China and the US.

Dato’ Dr. Ir. Ts. Hj Mohd Abdul Karim bin Abdullah, Group CEO and MD

Hailing from a middle-income family Dato’ Karim graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1989. He obtained an Honorary PhD in Industrial Engineering from InterAmerican University, USA in 2009 and a PhD in Entrepreneurship from Golden State University, USA in 2012. Recipient of many leadership awards, he is a turbomachinery expert and passionate about technology, digitalization and innovation. Dato Karim has been invited to give numerous talks at many events locally and overseas.

He has been a member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) since 1994, a registered member ofthe Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) since 1996 and a member of the Asean Federation of Engineering Organisation since 2002. Dato Karim currently serves as the Group CEO and

MD for Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad, Chairman for Kumpulan PowerNet Berhad, Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad (SCIB) and Bion PLC, fka Green & Smart PLC (listed on AIM London Stock Exchange).
