Describe the history of the company. How far-reaching is the firm?

We are a brand rooted in service and able to produce the highest performing efficient solutions for our clients. As a single point of contact, we are positioned to design, deliver, and support a stable technological foundation with exceptional service. We integrate with your business”.

Our mission is to help organizations grow and maintain operations with confidence. This is realized through the ever-innovative, customized IT solutions provided within our three pillars, MSP, MSSP, HPC.

What challenges did the company face?

Investigate, Communicate, Plan, Communicate, Design, Communicate, Execute, Communicate. Did I mention Communicate? Perception is reality. Here’s the example I’ll use: I’ll ask you to draw me an apple on a piece of paper. Do you think the apple you drew will match the one I was thinking of without providing you more details? If I ask you to colour the apple is red, do you think it will match the red I was thinking of?

Our challenge is speaking a language that will build a solution that meets our client needs. We achieve this many different ways, leveraging the talent of our staff, tools that provide detailed analysis and a risk impact scenario. This means we have the tools, people, and experience to communicate to our clients at all levels effectively.

We have faced challenges in each vertical, MSP, HPC, MSSP.

In the (MSP) managed services segment, we changed the way IT managed services are billed. We offer flat rate service per endpoint. The challenge was showing the value to the customer who has always paid time and materials for their IT support. When we explain that our goal is to build it right, so they (the client) don’t need to call us, they’re puzzled at first. Most IT companies hope for things to break so they can bill more. That goes against our client philosophy.

In the (HPC) Hosted Private Cloud segment, we had a challenge in demonstrating that we (SIMNET) can offer the level of performance, availability, and expertise that larger public cloud companies can offer. We’ve happily proved this time over and over as we demonstrate a proof of concept showing both performance and availability across all systems and datacenters.

In (MSSP) Managed Security Services Provider space, our challenge was in establishing trust. We uniquely tailor each SIEM monitoring solution per customer. The challenges have been mixed from clients that know they need something but don’t know what and clients that have put their trust with the wrong cyber vendor. To overcome these barriers, we’ve illustrated what the kill chain looks like; we outline the risks based on their design and what best practices would look like to mitigate risk and how we’d work together.

How do you make sure IT is always operating at peak performance?

Performance is our cornerstone. Analytics! We monitor everything and design our solutions to be fast and reliable. We consider 60% capacity our limits to ensure we can scale when needed.

How are your services cutting-edge?

Best of the breed. We mix the best software with the fastest hardware and the talent of our staff. Mix that with a customer-first approach, and we offer the best solution available.

Why should your customers leverage the cloud?

Talent, performance, availability, and accountability. We have 3 tiers of support to handle all issues our clients could have. We have a Network Operation Center and a Security Operation Center that work together. We have 3 Canadian datacenters for workload resiliency. We offer a cost-effective solution that companies can’t build for less.

What does IT consulting include?

IT consulting is an industry term for ‘solve my problem.’ All of our services: Managed, Cloud, and Security, stems from the concept of solving business problems with IT solutions. Our IT consulting draws from each of our verticals and is holistic in nature. We always look at the big picture to solve the problem.

How can your cybersecurity services benefit your customers’ business?

Cybersecurity is about risk detection, mitigation and remediation. All businesses leverage technology but not all businesses know how the technology is accessed or who has access. Our cybersecurity offering shines the brightest light to every corner of their (clients) network and captures it all. ‘Know thyself’ a simple statement that is critical to cybersecurity, the more a business knows about its technology, the easier it is to mitigate nefarious players from taking advantage of their data.

We offer ten services, namely HPC –Hosted Private Cloud, MIG -Migration Services, IaaS - Infrastructure as a Service, Veeam Cloud Connect Backup Repository, DRaaS - Veeam Cloud Connect Replica Hosting, Managed Services, Professional Services, SECaaS – Security as a Service, SOCaaS – Security Operations Centre as a Service, and Custom SOC as a Service Solutions.
