Slice Wireless Solutions, Inc. – Delivering world-class Wi-Fi solutions that enable excellent customer experiences, high-speed data delivery, and generate revenue

Slice Wireless Solutions, Inc. was founded in 2016 to address the rapidly expanding need for fast, reliable Wi-Fi service in permanent and temporary locations. The company achieved market recognition in New York City, as one of the leading Wi-Fi providers in the NY metro area, after successfully supporting NY Fashion Week, many hackathons, the Staten Island Ferry, downtown Brooklyn, and the parks at Hudson Yards. Slice Wireless Solutions expanded to Nashville in 2018, opened an office, and now has several contracts in downtown Nashville including the famed Nashville Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Slice has a strategic expertise and focus on airports and large, high density networks. Over the last two years, Slice has won major multi-million dollar contracts with the Thurgood Marshall Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI), Sarasota Braden National Airport (SRW), and most recently Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), beating out stiff competition from the largest telecoms in the world. Slice is known for the special expertise in “slicing” up networks enabling unprecedented customer, business, operational, and employee control and capabilities.

The Slice Difference

In addition to being Wireless experts, Slice is disrupting the multi-billion telecom industry by providing a neutrally hosted super network called WiSNET, using a unique business model that delivers control and revenue back to clients. The company offers a better, more flexible choice over the standard carrier, tower, and paid Wi-Fi solutions. Slice is representing a new generation of wireless networking, in order to deliver what customers want - a world-class wireless hub built upon a comprehensive operational, and customer-facing, platform - utilizing the optimal mix of current and emerging wireless and wired technologies. Slice's Founder, Jo-Anne (Josie) Dressendofer is a pioneer in the super network arena, and developed the patent-pending WiSNET solution. WiSNET is featured in a textbook she co-authored, High Density Networking (Wiley Publishing 2022).

WiSNET

WiSNET turns an airports revenue-dormant wireless network into an alive, highly active unified smart gateway engineered to generate and extract revenue through captive portals, tracking and targeting ads, and uplink control (pay tier services); among other built -in platform functions all controlled by a single central policy engine. This allows the network manager to “slice” up the bandwidth, controlling access to both wired and wireless networks with per user, per group, or per network traffic shaping and dynamic VLAN assignment providing maximum security and auditing. Not only can you slice bandwidth into multiple networks, but you can do so down to the individual device to further offer enhanced experiences and limit data breaches at the user level with WiSNET. With this technology, Slice is able to quickly enable an enhanced response capability to deliver individual and customized, feature-rich control within a branded portal with advanced data, revenue generation and location tracking.

Another benefit of their specialized networking technology is that it is agnostic. Slice creates better WI-FI environments by allowing multiple products and services to be mixed and configured as required delivering the most technically sound and safe WI-FI available on the market. Unlike their competitors who typically have a one size fits all model with a preferred product vendor theycan mix and match and their competitor models do not typically include a way for the client to profit from the WI-FI and related wireless networks like, IoT, Bluetooth, CBRS, Ultra Wideband, LoraWAN, LTE and more!

Slice has installed WiSNET at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and has helped the airport raise their ASQ (American Society for Quality) rating rapidly. The day they took over they had 10 times the bandwidth and travelers immediately got a 33x speed boost for free!

Network Slicing Now Made Simple

Branding & Sponsor Portals: The splash portal is a perfect place for your event’s message. With a 100% impression rate and unlimited customization capabilities, the portal has endless uses and will generate value for your brand, sponsors, and guests. Slice has provided branded Wi-Fi log-on portals to clients who want to deliver their latest marketing message to the many people and organizations that use Wi-Fi. See some of their previous portals below. A branded Wi-Fi portal lets you connect everyone who attends your event and offers them information about you. Slice offers many portal options and displays which can be tailored to your event. Slice has worked with many national companies to provide branded portals for major events. One of Social Wi-Fi's most immediate benefits come from having a larger group to engage with on social media. Each person logging on with a social account becomes a new follower and potentially a new promoter of your event or brand. Slice can help you design a marketing campaign to let those who have attended your events know about your next event. A mailing list of your attendees is a valuable asset.

Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots: A Mobile Hotspot is self-contained and battery powered.  It is small enough being carried in a purse or backpack. A Portable Hotspot comes in a small case and requires continuous power.  It contains in two pieces, a 4G router and a Wi-Fi access point that need to be connected together and placed on a shelf or table. The company utilizes the latest in cloud-managed, AI-enhanced Wi-Fi network controllers to provide top-tier, fast Internet connectivity that reaches into the corners of offices, lobbies and warehouses. They can also deploy “virtual beacon” technology that can improve the efficiency of the day-to-day operations by tracking the location of staff and equipment as they move across the premises.
