TaskUs: Next Generation Customer Experience

TaskUs: Next Generation Customer Experience

Customer experience is one of the most important factors that drive many businesses today. As newer technologies pervade the world, it is important to harness these to improve the overall customer experience by enhancing, boosting and reinventing companies’ outsourcing needs. TaskUs excels at this and has been helping companies with this for quite a few years now.

The TaskUS story

Bryce Maddock started the company with his good friend Jaspar Weir in 2008. He founded the company aged just 22. TaskUs was founded initially as a virtual assistant company with the combined life savings of both the co-founders which amounted to less than $20,000.

The initial TaskUs as a virtual assistant company wanted to be a global network of people which could handle specific tasks. The business model turned out to be a failure though and it took the founders’ some time to realize that the idea was not working. In this period of struggle, they opened a small office in the Philippines. It was here that they realized they needed to have resources to work in an office rather than from home. It was here that the co-founding duo came upon the idea of offering service to professionals. The company soon pivoted its approach and the fortunes as they say favor the bold.

Soon, the best companies from around the world started coming to TaskUs seeking their unique focus on transformational growth. Today, when companies want to scale while protecting their brand and culture, they choose TaskUs. TaskUs is trusted by these companies with crucial business processes so they can concentrate on meaningful innovation.

TaskUs in 2019 is still rapidly expanding and has more than 15,000 people in its family worldwide. The company operates from its headquarters at Santa Monica, CA and has been recognized in the media by the likes of CNN, Fast Company, Wall Street Journal, the LA Times and more.

Giving back

TaskUs is a socially conscious company. One of its many programs is “TaskUs Gives Back!” which provides sustainable solutions to alleviate social challenges and additionally supports local initiatives. Gawad Kalinga Orphanage located in Bahay Kalinga, Philippines is one of the beneficiaries of the program.

TaskUs is also involved in helping more people learn. The company is involved with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) organization which arranges programs to inspire students from low-income communities to stay in school. They further train the kids in business skills, personal development and much more for a successful future.

The company started its TaskUs Scholars Program in 2012 for its Filipino employees’ children. The program gives these children access to higher-quality private education. In 2017, the program awarded nearly 200 scholarships each worth approximately $1,100.
