Tenable’s Cyber Exposure Platform Gives You All the Insight, Research and Data

With continuous development and new types of connected devices and compute platforms, cybersecurity is a challenge. The attack surface is growing by the day. But today, more tools collecting data does not mean that CISO, or the C-Suite know the cybersecurity scenario completely. Columbia, Maryland headquartered security leader, Tenable, is pioneering something promising and new – Cyber Exposure Management.

Cyber Exposure Management helps organizations observe, predict and act to address risk across the entire attack surface. Prior to this, Tenable had mastered risk-based vulnerability management, now the company has built on those foundations to take the path of Cyber Exposure Management. The company is bringing the best practices of this tech to introduce a common risk-focused and metric-based language to security and IT Ops, executive leadership and all the concerned stakeholders.

The Tenable Cyber Exposure platform is the industry’s first solution to holistically assess, manage and measure cyber risk across the modern attack surface. It uniquely provides the breadth of visibility into cyber risk across IT, Cloud, IoT and OT environments and the depth of analytics to measure and communicate cyber risk in business terms to make better strategic decisions.

Over 30,000 organizations around the world rely on Tenable to help them understand and reduce cybersecurity risk. The company is focused on arming every large and small organization with visibility and insight to help protect their cyber infrastructure.

Nessus for Vulnerability Assessment

Today, security teams need a fast, easy way to proactively find and fix vulnerabilities. Tenable’s Nessus® automates point-in-time assessments to help quickly identify and fix vulnerabilities, including software flaws, missing patches, malware, and misconfigurations, across a variety of operating systems, devices and applications. It has the deepest and broadest coverage with more than 130,000 plugins, coverage for more than 50,000 CVE and over 100 new plugins released weekly within 24 hours of vulnerability disclosure.

Tenable has worked hand-in-hand with the security community. The company continuously optimizes Nessus based on community feedback to make it the most accurate and comprehensive vulnerability assessment solution in the market. 20 years later and the company is still laser focused on community collaboration and product innovation to provide the most accurate and complete vulnerability data - so security stakeholders don't miss critical issues which could put their organization at risk. 50% of the Fortune 500 and more than 30% of the Global 2000 rely on Nessus technology.

Helping a Healthcare Leader

Founded in 2009, Volpara Health Technologies is a medical technology company that dedicates its work to the early detection of breast cancer using AI. The company produces a complete set of digital health services that provide the accumulated data for predictive risk models ultimately aimed at prevention. But this data needs to be protected.

The cybersecurity team at the company was looking for a single platform that could secure a 100% cloud-native attack surface including Azure services, Docker containers and IoT devices. In addition, they wanted to keep pace with the speed of change in DevOps, and also meet stringent ISO13485 and ISO27001 compliance requirements.

“We selected Tenable for its ease of use, automation capabilities, expertise and brand recognition. The ability to automatically assess each new container image and to continuously protect the image as new vulnerabilities are discovered is invaluable,” said Gareth Beaumont, Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. Volpara chose to use cloud-based Tenable.io Container Security, to get unmatched visibility into the security of the CI/CD pipeline, operate at the speed of DevOps by “shifting left” and deliver on ISO13485 and ISO27001 compliance requirements.
