Tenable: The Cyber Exposure Company

Tenable: The Cyber Exposure Company

Tenable was founded in 2002 by Ron Gula and Renaud Deraison. Both of them have a great background in cybersecurity. The company debuted in cybersecurity as a big time disruptor. Its Nessus product was the breakthrough product a decade ago when IT Vulnerability Management was the emerging need. It continues to be a recurring need for businesses all over the world. Nessus is today the world’s most widely deployed IT vulnerability assessment solution.

But times have none the less changed as digital transformation inclusive of Cloud, DevOps, Mobility and IoT is ushering a new era of technological advancements. Everything right from the containers to conference systems to even the power grids are reliant on connected devices. This has increased the possibility of cyber exposure and cyber attacks. The attack surface is growing continually and it is becoming difficult to secure everything.

The best companies keep up with the changing times; Tenable has also re-invented itself to help organizations rethink their security scenario in this modern cyber exposure market. Just like they disrupted the IT vulnerability management market a decade ago, Tenable is now working on rethinking how companies protect themselves against cyber exposure. To make this happen Tenable came up with Tenable.io, the world’s very first cyber exposure platform.

Vulnerability Management for the Modern IT

As the IT landscape evolves, the vulnerability management strategy needs to evolve too. Enterprises have identified the advantage of going with the virtual and cloud assets, and mobile devices. But these bring with them a certain flexibility which means a new set of problems from the security perspective. You now have more to secure than ever before. The periodic scanning which used to work for the traditional assets is now simply not good enough to deliver the visibility and the insight necessary.

Tenable.io is a part of the Tenable Cyber Exposure Platform. The platform has been created to solve the toughest management challenges and at the same time give the CISO’s, CIO’s, and the C-level executive the insight they need to narrow their focus on the most important issues and make the best decisions.

Tenable.io does this by giving the security analysts the visibility of the number assets of the company, the vulnerabilities associated to these assets and which of them need to be prioritized. It is a cloud-delivered solution which shows everything a CISO may need to look at through intuitive dashboard visualizations. It gives a comprehensive risk-based prioritization and seamless integration with third-party solutions that could help security teams raise their productivity.

What can you expect with Tenable.io

- Maximize the ROI by eliminating double or triple-counting of assets that multiple IP addresses

- Greater vulnerability coverage than competitors (32% more)

- Reduce the number of vulnerabilities that require immediate attention by up to 97%

- Automate Processes by leveraging a fully documented API and pre-built integrations to import third-party data, automate scans, and share data

More than 27,000 organizations around the world rely on Tenable for cyber exposure solutions. Among these customers are 50% of Fortune 500 companies like Siemens, Capgemini and more. And why wouldn’t they when a company comprehensively helps you take care of your security infrastructure.
