Founded by Scott Kriz and Erik Gustavson, who had previously worked at a start-up, joined together to solve problems faced by companies. At the start-up, speed and agility were required to keep projects moving. A wide range of cloud-based applications was used. However, there was a serious lack of ‘communication’ between the applications that further led to obstacles and inefficiencies.
Just like many successful technology companies, Bitium was established to bring about a change in the way software interacts. The company was founded to change how people and companies work, starting off with a single sign-on and identity access management. With the introduction and boom of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), a new era of cloud computing has opened new environments.Â
Looking at the rate of how things are going, it’s certain that cloud computing has quickly turned into a catalyst for new business models. Cloud computing has also transformed and changed the way business transactions happen, in turn, changing the industry dynamics and opening wider horizons for new markets.
In such fast-changing scenarios, having an outdated approach to security management will be a prime reason for many organizations to try and lock down access to cloud apps. This further sacrifices competitive benefits in a misguided attempt to limit risk. It’s obvious that this approach is definitely not suitable. And Bitium is changing that.
