TravelWifi — Providing access to unlimited portable Wi-Fi worldwide through CloudSIM technology

Technology has changed our lives in so many ways, making life easier and more convenient. With innovations in technology, travel has also become much more manageable. People who are hesitant to travel are mostly reluctant due to the hassle of managing travel itineraries outside their known environments.

With the help of technology, people can now book flights, accommodations, and other desired activities in minutes. Basically, if you are connected to the internet and have a device, you can manage almost everything on the go. But, going abroad means you are destined to have some data connectivity issues or have to take a local sim altogether, which creates a lot of hassle. Looking upon this need, TravelWifi was founded in order to help people traveling with innovative travel solutions, simplifying the challenges of travel necessities (tickets, Wi-Fi, accessories) so they can focus on exploring the world to its fullest potential.

TravelWifi has evolved from several acquisitions of DHI Telecom, a global internet service provider founded in 2007 that brought secure connectivity to the US military and Department of Defense (DoD). In the following years, DHI operates on US and NATO bases in the Middle East with the addition of their sister company IQSTC in Iraq. DHI provides wired, fiber-optic cable, mobile Wi-Fi, and wireless commercial Internet access to US and coalition armed forces, direct-hire DoD, State Department civilians, authorized civilian contractors, and international businesses participating in the defense. It also has additional operations in the UAE, Jordan, The Congo, Poland, and Romania.

The company's focus on advanced ISP technology expanded to include SIM cards, accessories, scratch cards, and powerful pocket-size mobile hotspots used by tens of thousands of military and DoD contractors. Companies approved to do business with the military are rigorously vetted for their products' security, reliability, and customer service.

"The surge in demand for protected mobile Wi-Fi overseas led us to set our sights beyond the military and DoD into international business and leisure travelers," said Wallace Davis, Founder of DHI Telecom. "We redefined and simplified our brand. In addition, we restructured and renamed our company's acquisitions into one master brand, TravelWifi," Davis explained.

Travelers will never again have to search for telecom stores to buy and insert SIM cards or purchase data plans in each country they visit. In addition, travelers can avoid "free Wi-Fi" hubs, which are often hotbeds for hackers. TravelWifi users can save hundreds of dollars on each trip by not using their smartphone as a hotspot. TravelWifi enables you to add to your data or enter a new SIM card electronically through CloudSIM technology for seamless connectivity. TravelWifi hotspots are powerful yet easy to use. Their cloud infrastructure provides reliable speeds instantly by automatically connecting you to the leading network or carrier in your area. You get the strongest connection possible in the palm of your hand. Eliminating the need to shop in crowded malls and bazaars for SIM cards and data, became a great advantage for the company during the height of Covid-19.

These lightweight global Wi-Fi hotspots are designed for travelers. They are secure and only accessible with your password. You can carry them in your pocket just like a smartphone and access Wi-Fi across more than 130 countries throughout Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Oceania. Also, the company has an in-house customer service team that can be contacted 24/7. The Portable Hotspot works with any Wi-Fi-enabled device, such as laptops Windows and Macs, smartphones like iPhone, Android, and Blackberry, tablets such as iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Kindle – even game consoles.

"We exist for the explorers and heroes — the ones traveling for business, pleasure, or the military. Our company's vision is to offer solutions to travelers for TravelWifi to provide all the connectivity resources they need. We want to lead the future of travel, empowering customers to take advantage of every opportunity by believing in the power of possibility," Davis said.

Today, TravelWifi provides customers with the necessities for a life of adventure where they always press forward and take on the impossible. With leverage from DHI Telecom's resources and acquisitions, TravelWifi is leading the industry into the future.

Meet the CEO

Wallace Davis is the CEO of TravelWifi and the President and Founder of DHI Telecom Group, a global family of companies offering mobile connectivity and operating under the unified TravelWifi brand. A veteran of Desert Storm, Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Government Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Computer Resources and Information Management. During a 12-year career with the US Army, Davis focused on IT project management and was retained by Maryland University to teach undergraduate information management courses to both civilian and military members. After leaving the Army, Davis utilized his Department of Defense Top Secret Security Clearance to maintain the security of multi-national forces information systems in the Iraq theater of operations. Military service and a passion for technology created the basis for the company Davis founded in 2007. Its Sapphire brand portable hotspots are used by tens of thousands of US military personnel and Department of Defense contractors overseas today. This foundational military customer focus has allowed Davis to make strategic acquisitions which now include business and leisure travel sectors around the world.

"We exist for the explorers and heroes — the ones traveling for business, for pleasure, or for the military. Our vision is to provide them with the next dimension of travel today — by providing solutions that power them to take advantage of every opportunity."

"Not only do we provide service in over 130+ countries, we have numerous retail locations across the globe. Whether you're looking for a location to drop off, pick up or shop - we've got you covered."
