View: Transforming buildings to improve human health and address climate change

Silicon Valley has a long tradition of disrupting industries and challenging the way we think about everyday essentials. In that great tradition, the team at View reimagined something that hadn’t changed for centuries – the simple window – and in so doing, built the only complete, cloud-native platform to deliver of the promise of smart buildings: happier, healthier occupants, improved energy-efficiency, lower operating costs, and higher asset values.

Say Goodbye to Blinds

View Smart Windows use artificial intelligence to automatically adjust in response to the sun, increasing access to natural light and views while minimizing heat and glare. No squinting. No sweating. No blinds. Ever. Just gorgeous views and happier, healthier, more productive occupants.

The Industry Standard for Smart Windows

Maximum Glare Control: Blocks up to 99.5% of sunlight during peak glare conditions.

Industry-Best Color Quality: Renders interior finishes and skin tones more naturally.

ASTM Certified for the Life of the Building: Exhibits zero degradation in 3rd party government lab testing.

Designed for endless possibilities

Create: Take notes and create content by writing on touch-enabled surfaces

Collaborate: Meet virtually right on the window

Connect: Always stay connected to the outdoors with digitally augmented views

The Smart Building Cloud includes

SECURE EDGE: Securely connect your buildings to the cloud, centrally manage building networks and systems, and deploy edge applications for real-time processing, insights, and optimizations.

REMOTE ACCESS: Reduce the cost and cybersecurity risks of maintaining smart buildings by providing vendors and technicians with secure, auditable, time-bound remote access to building networks and devices.

BUILDING PERFORMANCE: Optimize and automate building performance with comprehensive, contextual, and actionable insights consolidated from disparate on-premises and cloud-based systems.

WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE: Create a healthier, more efficient, and more productive workplace by uncovering key insights related to building health and workplace operations.

DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND INTEGRATIONS

Aggregate data from all connected systems, sensors, and applications within a building into a single cloud environment with spatial context.

Brighter Days Make for Better Nights

View Smart Windows enhance sleep for residents by providing the qualities of light that are effective for circadian alignment.

View Smart Windows Eliminate Pathogens

Maximum Disinfection and UV Protection

View Smart Windows deliver near complete disinfection of surfaces within 24 hours while still blocking 99.9% of UV light that can damage skin. Whether in its clear or tinted state, View Smart Windows eliminate up to 100% of bacteria by allowing in the short-wavelength, high energy spectrum of daylight.

The power of daylight

150 years of research has demonstrated that daylight neutralizes bacteria, fungi, and viruses. But this study, conducted at the Pakpour Laboratory for Biomedical Microbiome Research at the University of British Columbia, is one of the first to look at the effect of daylight on pathogens indoors, where we spend 90% of our time.

Daylight creates sterile lab environments

Microbial contamination is responsible for 11-15% of product recalls. Life science companies spend on average $3.1M annually to remediate contamination events, in addition to lost revenue and legal exposure.

Replace traditional blinds with View Smart Windows to:

  • Comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations to maintain a sterile laboratory environment
  • Avoid remediation costs
  • Reduce regulatory risk

Daylight reduces the risk of healthcare associated infections

Healthcare associated infections (HAIs) lead to nearly 100,000 deaths each year in the US and are commonly attributed to contamination of the patient’s surroundings. HAIs can cost hospitals millions of dollars in withheld reimbursements annually.

Replace traditional blinds with View Smart Windows to:

  • Reduce risk of HAIs
  • Promote faster healing
  • Avoid regulatory penalties
