The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) has been the leading enterprise content management solution for the past eight consecutive years, according to Gartner. The AEM tools have a pivotal role to play in building and curating websites and the applications that tag along. But dealing with these tools requires some specialized knowledge in the area. That is where WEBCONSOL excels.
We interviewed the founder and Managing Director of WEBCONSOL, Sothea Nim, to know more about this busting industry and WEBCONSOL’s role in it.
In a few words tell us what motivated you to establish the firm.
I saw that there was a growing industry trend for AEM as an enterprise solution. So I started developing my knowledge and skill set in AEM. And as the need for my expertise grew and demand from the industry became larger, forming a company happened quite organically.
In a very short span of time, through word of mouth and solid referrals I was working at my maximum capacity. I had to hire specialized staff to help with the workload. Now, WEBCONSOL has been around for a few years. Earlier we mostly focused on building our own platforms but we rapidly evolved into AEM specialists.
Could you tell us about the products and services you offer?
We have developed several tools that serve to improve the workflow process and the time to market for AEM implementation. They further ease the process of integrating third-party software into AEM.
Let me tell you about a few. The GX2CMS is our proprietary user interface (UI) development framework. The GX2CMS is used to develop the UI code for AEM. The UI Prototypes developed using GX2CMS are functional prototypes. With our proprietary user interface, we are able to implement AEM solutions at least 20% faster than our competitors!
Our Digital Asset Management Migration Tool has enabled our customers to easily migrate, organize, and tag their assets. It is developed specifically for migrating files, documents, images, and other media into AEM assets. Then we have API Gateway for Commerce Engines. This is a set of unified API which allows our customers to integrate commerce engine solutions with AEM faster. Through this Gateway, if they ever desire to switch commerce engines, they can do so with very minimal effort.
What are your leadership values?
I lead by example and value a strong work ethic. I do not believe in doing something just to get it done. The quality of the work adds to your reputation, so, delivering quality work even behind the scenes is of utmost importance to me.
How do you motivate your employees to enhance productivity?
Hard work and innovation are key in this industry. I like to think big and I am wired to solve problems; that’s what keeps me motivated and inspired. I thrive on good ideas and I encourage my team to share their ideas no matter how extreme they are.
What distinguishes you from your competitors and how do you utilize this to your advantage?
The feedback I have received and the reason why I have grown this company purely through referrals is because we shoot straight and give simple solutions to complex issues. We do not oversell to our clients or sell them a service that is unnecessary to them. Our ultimate goal is to solve the problem in the purest, simplest manner. We are extremely solution focused and do not overcomplicate matters.
What developments or changes do you see having the biggest impact on your business and industry over the coming year?
We are extremely interested in Artificial Intelligence and plan on pursuing it in some capacity in the upcoming years. Also, we are interested in enterprise data management as most of our clients struggle with this issue and we want to be able to help with that.
Tell us about your future prospects.
This is a very exciting time for us. Soon, we are going to do a soft launch of our own proprietary, headless microservice e-commerce platform. Currently, we are in the final tweaking stages. But we are very happy with this tool. It is a system-agnostic engine, which will be capable of running on any CMS. It is highly suitable for AEM, SiteCore, WordPress, and JOOMLA CMS. It will be very useful for small businesses which use tablets and screens on site. With a great adaptability quotient, ease of use, and security it will benefit many.
