10 Best Security Companies 2020
CIO Bulletin
Data breaches have become fairly common nowadays. Nonetheless, they significantly affect the bottom line of a company. On that, they can damage a brand’s reputation and consumer trust. As threats increase it has been estimated that 80% of the security breaches involve credentials. In such a scenario, implementing PAM solutions can provide a quick fix. PAM solutions reduce a company’s risk of being impacted by advanced threats by as much as 50%.
Founded in 2017, Xton Technologies takes a modern approach to enterprise privileged access management (PAM). The company’s Xton Access Manager (XTAM) software is the world’s first completely agentless PAM solution in the market. It combines all the features of a traditional enterprise-grade solution in one platform at a very competitive price point.
The company has been recognized as an emerging software in the PAM market by analyst groups and industry leaders. Their flexible license structure has earned them customers from small businesses that take security seriously to large multinational corporations that have to meet rigorous security audits. They continue to expand their solution capabilities. Their latest release this year, the Hybrid Access Security Broker Software is an access control tool that provides secure access control for corporate networks and cloud infrastructure using RDP, SSH and Http proxies that increase security without impacting a user’s workflows.
“At our core, we believe that PAM does not need to be complicated to implement or costly to maintain. Our goal is to help customers feel confident that their privileged credentials are secure, meet audit requirements and protected against malicious or accidental access from both within and beyond the firewall.”
Solutions for Cloud or Hybrid environments
Businesses from all over the world are moving to a cloud environment in big numbers. And why not? Considering the long list of benefits, the move is very much justified. But the move brings to light security challenges that leave the door open for the bad actors to hijack privileged credentials and enter your network.
Hence, it is important that CIOs and IT professionals have a security strategy in place as they plan the move to a cloud or a hybrid infrastructure. And this must include security tools like PAM and other IAM tools. Also, access to cloud computers at various data centers is to be taken into consideration. The goal should be to maintain the balance – selecting an access method that is simple to set up, easy to use and provides a secure network configuration.
Xton Technologies’ solutions are designed to work in the cloud or hybrid environments. Consider the XTAM Hybrid Access Security Broker software by Xton that enables companies to create a security perimeter across hybrid IT environments. It blocks the malicious outsiders by forcing trusted users to go through XTAM to access corporate systems. Therefore, enforcing security, providing access control and reporting on user activity. This ensures that Xton’s clients feel confident about their cloud infrastructure being secure.
Looking Ahead
Xton’s customers drive their innovation. Its weekly release schedule allows for rapid incorporation of new feature requests, security updates and bug fixes. The company has several initiatives to include Risk Scoring of every privileged session to determine what is typical vs suspicious behavior. Xton’s PAM software presents them with a unique opportunity to broker access to all of a company’s systems to ensure that the necessary security controls are in place.
Xton’s platform is positioned well to meet the security needs of the companies today and in the future. With Xton onboard as a partner, its customers can be confident in the privileged access solution they have chosen.
