Zerto: Resilience Above All Else

Zerto: Resilience Above All Else

In today’s always-connected world, businesses need to be available to their customers, prospects, and employees 24/7/365. This new world order of uninterrupted technology is a non-negotiable business practice. To experience downtime of any length of time—even for a few minutes—with data and applications unavailable puts a business at risk for irreparable harm to its hard-fought brand. This was where Zerto was established.

Zerto is a company providing enterprise-class disaster recovery and business continuity software for virtualized infrastructure and cloud environments. Zerto was founded in 2010 by Ziv Kedem and a team of storage industry veterans. The company is dual-headquartered in Israel and the United States.

The Zerto Effect

Zerto provides Resilience for Evolving IT by delivering automated, seamless Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for vSphere, Hyper-V, Azure, and AWS. Zerto Virtual Replication delivers critical application availability in the event of a disaster while creating recovery points (RPO) of seconds and recovery times (RTO) of minutes with continuous replication, without the use of snapshots and having no impact on production. This ensures businesses and their customers always have access to critical applications without any IT interruption, downtime or delay.

Zerto’s Enterprise Cloud Edition, part of the award-winning Cloud Continuity Platform protects thousands of enterprises worldwide with the simplest, most reliable BC/DR software solution built to protect applications on any virtualized IT environment, be it public, private or hybrid cloud. Zerto’s proactive approach to recovery gives companies confidence in their ability to withstand any disruption, easily incorporate new technology, and quickly adapt to accommodate evolving IT priorities.

Accolades on the Wall

Zerto has been announced as a finalist at the SVC Awards 2017 and has been shortlisted in the ‘Cloud Management Product of the Year’ and the ‘Cloud Innovation of the Year’ categories. The company and Gleadell Agriculture were announced the winners at the VMworld 2017 Europe User Awards for ‘Best data security and data protection project’. In addition to this, Zerto was nominated as a finalist for ‘Best of Show Cloud Platform Division’ award in Japan for Interop. The list goes on to show that Zerto is widely recognized and awarded for its dedication and hard work.

Atlantic Fun Services, one of Zerto’s clients says, “We specifically virtualized in order to simplify our BC/DR processes, so when we were initially brought a solution that included manual coordination of the physical and virtual environment, we knew we were not looking at the right product. With Zerto Virtual Replication, we do not have to maintain a complete environment on the DR site, which means we do not need to manage patch levels, application versions, etc. Replicating at the hypervisor is so seamless; we didn’t think it could be this easy.”

And they’re not the only one. Another customer of Zerto, Austin Radiological Association says, “We believe that the virtual machine is the new atomic unit for replication strategies. Zerto works at the virtualization level, which allows us greater flexibility in the type of storage we replicate to and removes the limitations around LUN-based consistency groups. This solution adds a deeper level of control of recovery time objective (RTO) and recovery point objective (RPO) in a virtual environment than traditional replication methods.”

Keeping the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Zerto is a company that encourages entrepreneurial spirit and encourages career growth. Zerto’s popularity has enabled growth into new markets and is rapidly spreading across the globe. “We are expanding into new markets and hiring to keep up with the increasing demand for the product,” says the CEO of Zerto, Ziv Kedem. Zerto was the first company to launch hypervisor-based replication, an innovation in the data protects market that won numerous awards and industry accolades.

The company’s mission is to keep enterprise and cloud IT running 24/7 by providing innovative, simple, reliable, and scalable business continuity software solutions. “We’re the company that believes in aiding employees to maintain work-life balance. We play as hard as we work and offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our people’s health and well-rounded lifestyle,” adds Kedem.
