Tom Ryan, president and CEO of ViacomCBS streaming, said the company expects the "competitively priced bundle to only further expand the reach of both services."
Streaming services have been a hit since the pandemic, and we have seen several streaming sites taking on each other to provide better offers to customers. Now Paramount Plus has announced that it is launching a new streaming bundle for both its ad-supported and premium tiers that include Showtime. Paramount Plus and Showtime's parent company is offering a streaming bundle that is $13 a month, $8 cheaper than both the services separately. A packaging bundling ad-supported Paramount Plus and Showtime is $10 a month, $6 cheaper than what you'd pay for both separately.
Although there is no confirmation if both the companies are looking to join forces to take on other streaming platforms like Netflix, Disney Plus, and HBO Max, etc. For now, they're available at promotional prices for about a month. Paramount Plus hopes the package will help it win new customers. Tom Ryan, president and CEO of ViacomCBS streaming, said the company expects the "competitively priced bundle to only further expand the reach of both services."
The bundle offers will expire by Oct. 20, 2021, and is available only in the U.S., according to the media company. The entry-level Paramount Plus Essential offers NFL games and more than 2,000 soccer matches, with on-demand entertainment options like shows and movies. Paramount Plus Premium provides support for 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision and mobile downloads; an expanded live sports lineup; and live streams of CBS affiliates in over 200 markets across the U.S.
