According to reports, Google is set to get a new AI update added to their search engine with their project ‘Magi’ underway.
Google is all set to adapt to the ever evolving space of technology. Their latest endeavor, codenamed ‘Magi’ will be an update on their popular search engine. The company’s flagship product, Google search engine has been their primary revenue generator for years according to reports, however, with Microsoft’s Bing tailing behind with its new features that are based on OpenAI’s GPT-4, Google has had no choice but to quickly adapt to stay up to date and relevant.
The changes come in response to November 2022’s announcement about ChatGPT. The real blow came when the company Google learned that the smartphone maker Samsung was looking into replacing the default search engine Google with Microsoft’s Bing. If this goes through as planned, Google will lose out on $3 billion at one go.
The panic caused by these revelations has Google prepped and ready to make necessary changes with their new project ‘Magi’. This will be Google’s new AI-powered search; it is expected to result in a more personalized search result and will try to provide anticipated requirements before users even type it in. According to reports, Google is also working on developing a brand new search engine that will have even more AI features included within.
Google spokesperson Lara Levin added, “We’re excited about bringing new A.I. powered features to search, and will share more details soon.”
