Apple has been known for removing things from the iPhone, and every time, it becomes a trend. The exclusion of an earphone jack for wireless earbuds, a fingerprint sensor for face-id, and no charger in the box for saving the environment, it all went through as the way they desired and was also followed by other companies.
Earlier this year, the company had run a survey asking users if they needed chargers in the phone, and just after that, the company launched the iPhone 12 lineup without a charger in the box. Following a similar trend, Apple has once again launched a survey asking users if they were happy without charging cable, of course, to save environmental wastage.
This means Apple is nearing the port-less design for iPhone. There have been several reports that Apple is already working on a port-less iPhone from both security points of view and make the phone completely waterproof and dustproof. The data transfer can already be done wirelessly, and this year, Apple has already achieved fast and convenient wireless charging.
Apart from this, a new report claims that the survey also enquired whether users were satisfied with Face ID on the iPhone. If users were not happy with Face ID and selected ‘no,’ they were greeted by alternative options to share with Apple. Apple is also looking to bring back fingerprint authentication back to the iPhones, not with the physical home button, but with an under-display fingerprint, which could work for the whole screen instead of just a specific part of the screen.
