Google, a giant search engine is now aiming at easy monitoring of the battery life of wireless earbuds in Android, with the next big update to its Bluetooth Fast Pair feature.
Google will now add a new UI in Android Q for managing Fast Pair-enabled mobile headphones which will put device management features, battery life, Google Assistant settings and links to third-party management apps all in one place.
This biggest update is expected to enter the market soon. It will add deeper support for truly wireless headphones. These earbuds that support fast pair will eventually be able to show the individual battery life data for the case and each earbud independently. It will also pop-up the information when opening or closing the case.
Soon Fast Pair headphones will also start appearing in Google’s Find My Device app, making it simple to track down a missing pair of headphones in the future.
According to a Google spokesperson, the new key features will be coming to all the Fast Pair headphones which include, the JBL Live 220BT, 400BT Libratone’s Q Adapt On-Ear, Bose’s QuietComfort 35 II, Google Pixel Buds and some other existing headphones.
