Instagram has rolled out a new unfollow option

Instagram has recently introduced a feature that lets the user classify the accounts they are following, into categories based on the options 'most seen in feed' and 'least interacted with'. This new feature will help the users to get an idea about those contacts with whom they interact the least.

This new feature is the result of Instagram’s efforts to help the users keep their feed clean and relevant. This feature has been launched under “following categories” that enables the user to sort their contacts by ‘most shown in feed’ and ‘least interacted with’. Also, the users can manage their follow status and notifications and can mute any account.

In addition to it, Instagram added another feature to its app that allows the user to sort their following list from earliest to latest followed.

To access the feature, the user needs to click on “following” in their profile which will then open up different categories to be explored.

About the new features, the company said: “Instagram is really about bringing you closer to the people and things you care about — but we know that over time, your interests and relationships can evolve and change. Whether you graduate, move to a new city, or become obsessed with a new interest and find a community, we want to make it easier to manage the accounts you follow on Instagram so that they best represent your current connections and interests.”
