Salesforce and Apple have announced a strategic partnership that will see the companies work together to bring the world’s leading CRM to iPhone and iPad. This will help enable powerful apps for business.
“With this partnership, we’re bringing together the world’s number one CRM platform with iPhone and iPad, the world’s best devices for business,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and co-CEO, Salesforce. This partnership will see Salesforce redesign its app to work with the native platform with exclusive new features on iOS. The company will work with Apple to enrich some iOS experiences associated like Siri shortcuts, Face ID, Business Chat and more.
Salesforce will also be for the first time introducing the Trailhead Mobile App for iOS.
The partnership will enable the companies to provide tools and resources to Salesforce developers. They will be able to build their own apps with the Salesforce Mobile SDK for iOS, and a new iOS app development course on Trailhead.
Apple also announced the launch of a new Get Started with iOS App Development Trail to support developer learning and career growth. This move is aimed at teaching people how to build native iOS apps in Xcode with Swift.
