Uber is testing a monthly subscription pass that combines rides, bikes, scooters and eats. The all-in-one pass is available for $24.99 a month.
In this project, Uber is testing a few different iterations in Chicago and San Francisco. It is expected that each version includes a fixed discount on free Uber Eats delivery, rides and also on free bikes and scooter rides. While in other cities, Uber is testing lower-priced passes that offer free delivery and discounted rides above a certain amount.
Last October, Uber first launched a Ride Pass as a way for people to consistently pay lower prices on individual rides for a monthly fee. Ride Pass can help Uber prevent frequent app switching by the customers. Now, it comes with a monthly subscription plan combining all of its consumer offerings into one monthly subscription.
An Uber spokesperson said: “From meals to wheels and everything in between. We are always looking for ways to make Uber the go-to option for your everyday needs.”
Uber joins the list of those tech companies like Amazon, Netflix and Lyft that offers such monthly mobile subscription plans to its customers.
