Windows 10 may allow you to take calls on your PC

Windows Insiders are now getting to access an interesting feature that lets them take calls placed to their Android mobile on a PC. The feature may come to all Windows 10 users sometime in the future.

Windows Insiders has released a Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18999 (20H1) in fast ring. The Calls feature was first announced at the Samsung Unpacked event.

The Calls feature will allow the Windows Insider community members to answer calls placed to their Android phone on a PC. Giving them access to a richer caller experience. But there are some basic requirements for Calls to work including:

  • Android phones 0 version or higher
  • Windows 10 PC with Bluetooth
  • 19H1 build or newer
  • A minimum Windows 10 build 18362.356.

Through the Calls feature a user can answer incoming calls on a PC, initiate a call, respond through text, send calls to phone mail, access recent call history and transfer calls between PC and phone. But the build may come with bugs and Microsoft is currently seeking feedback to resolve any underlying issues with the feature.

The Calls feature on Windows 10 is an interesting proposition and will make life easier for many professionals across the globe.
