The video-sharing platform, YouTube, has recently introduced a few changes in its layout. It has recently rolled out its ‘Explore’ tab that replaces the ‘Trending’ tab. As of now, the changes will reflect in its mobile app only.
The newly introduced feature allows users to get access to trending videos, as well as other content categories like gaming, music, fashion & beauty, and many more. The Explore tab is something like a central hub for all varieties of popular content.
The new Explore tab can be found in the bottom menu of the app. The tab features a compass icon, which on being tapped takes the user to a hub with access to Trending videos, as well as popular content categories.
A statement issued in Google’s support website stated that the update will be available to users over the next few days on both iOS and Android. The Explore section can be found in both smartphones and tablets.
YouTube said that the Explore tab is the result of feedback from users who got access to it during the testing period of the tab. However, it’s uncertain whether the company has changed anything about the final version in comparison to the version that was tested.
