Networking giant Juniper Networks has announced its intent to buy 128 Technology. The two companies have entered into a definitive agreement in a cash deal worth $450 million. The acquisition will enhance Juniper’s AI-driven enterprise network portfolio. The transaction of the deal is expected to be slightly accretive to revenue and gross margins. The acquisition is expected to be closed in the fiscal fourth quarter.
By uniting with 128 Technology’s Session Smart™ networking, Juniper will have great campus and branch solutions driven by Mist AI. The companies' collaboration will help the SD-WAN technology grow into a modern AI-driven network that optimizes user experiences from client-to-cloud.
