Oracle buys Talari Networks; to boost SD-WAN capabilities

The leading Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technology provider, Talari Networks, is being bought out by Oracle. Talari Networks was launched in 2007 and has over 500 customers in over 40 countries and is known for offering centralized control and improved application performance in SD-WAN tech. Its services are extended across a variety of industries including the public sector, financial services, insurance, retail, and manufacturing.

Talari Networks’ Failsafe technology is its proprietary product that boosts reliability and predictability of SD-WAN. It also provides a secure site-to-site and site-to-cloud connectivity and application access over any IP network. Talari Networks’ CEO Patrick Sweeney expressed his excitement on the acquisitions saying that Talari will be able to able to serve a vastly expanded landscape with Oracle. “I simply couldn’t be prouder or more excited.”

Oracle wrote on its blog: “Together, Oracle and Talari will accelerate digital transformation and cloud adoption by providing companies with complete enterprise network solutions that ensure reliability and performance of real-time communications and mission-critical applications over any network.”

Oracle has entered into a definitive agreement with Talari Networks for the acquisition and the transaction is expected to close in 2018. Neither of the companies divulged any details regarding the cost of the transaction.
