Oracle has announced that its new data center is now live from Abu Dhabi. The availability of the new data center will offer public cloud applications services to customers in the UAE and the whole of the Middle East.
The Abu Dhabi data center will help with the rapid proliferation of Oracle Cloud in the UAE. It will also augment the UAE’s push for building a better technology infrastructure. Arun Khehar, Senior VP of Business Applications, Middle East and Africa said: “By locating a data center in the UAE, we will be able to better manage service levels and respond to local customers, who, for data governance requirements and other reasons, need to keep their data local.”
Moreover, the conglomerate will also gain from a greater presence in the region. “Our customers in the region are excited about this new development. Coupled with Oracle’s unique ability to deliver solutions at every layer of the cloud stack, they firmly believe they can tackle digital disruption head-on.”
Etisalat, the telecom giant of the region, is Oracle’s partner for the new data center in Abu Dhabi. The collaboration will help the company gain from the partnership and help accelerate the transformation and cloud adoption to empower the government and commercial entities in the region.
