Oracle and VMware collaborate to bring advanced security features to Oracle's Enterprise Mobile Apps

Oracle has announced that it will be co-operating with VMware to enable advanced security and also streamline management of Oracles powerful mobile enterprise applications. VMware, a gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork, will be the first company to provide mobile application management to manage and secure hundreds of Oracle business applications and custom applications built on Oracle’s Mobile Cloud Service (OMCS) for mobile devices.

Oracle has the most number of enterprise mobile applications in Apple’s App store, and now the vaunted mobile ecosystem that was created by Oracle can now leverage application management and security through VMware AirWatch®. In essence this is specifically, a collaboration between the AirWatch and Workspace One team and Oracle.

Enterprise IT organization can manage and secure the whole of their Oracle application suite on a single unified platform along with their other business applications and devices. The users of Oracle’s business applications can now access it through a simple digital workspace environment with VMware Workspace One and AirWatch, whether it is from the PC or mobile.
