Co-founder, Chief Design & Creative Officer at Pinterest Evan Sharp, steps down from the full-time role to join Sir Jony Ive’s design firm LoveFrom.
Evan Sharp, the co-founder of Pinterest Inc., is stepping down from operational duties in the social media company. Sharp will join Loveform, a design firm started by former Apple Inc. executive Sir Jony Ive. Sharp will be transitioning from his full-time role as Chief Design & Creative Officer at Pinterest into an advisory role focused on company strategy, design, product, brand, and culture. Sharp as a co-founder, is a member of the Board of Directors at Pinterest, a role he will continue to perform.
The press release on the Pinterest website stated that Evan had played an invaluable part in building Pinterest and leading its subsequent evolution from a visual discovery engine to a global art inspiration platform. In addition to designing and building the original Pinterest idea, Evan oversaw product strategy and user experience, including architecting Shopping and Creator platforms at Pinterest. The press release also stated Evan Sharp innovated in countless ways to ensure Pinterest realized its ambition to be the most positive and inspiring place on the internet.
Sharp will be joining a small but growing team at LoveForm, a design firm started by Ive after leaving his longstanding role as the top designer at Apple Inc. in 2019.
