Red Hat’s OpenShift Service Now Available on AWS Platform

Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), a new managed service that enables Red Hat OpenShift customers to build and manage containerized applications through the AWS OpenShift ServiceConsole, has been made available. Red Hat is a provider of open-source enterprise solutions.

Without having to manually manage the underlying infrastructure, customers may utilize ROSA to facilitate the creation of Kubernetes clusters by utilizing the Red Hat OpenShift UI, features, and tooling. ROSA offers a tight connection with other AWS services and accelerates the transfer of workloads from on-premises Red Hat OpenShift to AWS. The service incorporates support and billing through AWS directly, enabling a single-vendor experience.

Customers just pay for the container clusters and nodes they actually utilize when using ROSA; there are no upfront costs involved. Additionally, SOC-2, ISO-27001, and PCI security compliance validations are maintained by ROSA.

Customers of AWS and Red Hat are embracing containers because they speed up development and enhance application portability. Amazon Elastic Containers Service and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service are two of the cloud-based container technologies that AWS provides. AWS Fargate also allows for the running of containers without the need to control the underlying servers or clusters.

Red Hat is a significant supplier of enterprise open-source software solutions, and it offers Linux, hybrid cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies through a community-driven model. Red Hat assists clients in creating cloud-native applications, automating complex infrastructures, and integrating new and pre-existing IT applications into a standardized ecosystem.
