Indian renewable energy giant begins manufacturing in Texas, marking a significant step in US-India energy partnership.

Waaree Energies has officially begun trial production of solar modules at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas, marking a major milestone for the company and India's renewable energy sector. This makes Waaree Energies the first Indian renewable energy company to set up a photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing plant in the United States.

The plant, operated through its wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Solar Americas Inc., starts with an initial manufacturing capacity of 1.6 GW. The company plans to scale up this capacity to 3 GW as part of its ambitious growth strategy in the US. This move not only strengthens Waaree’s presence in the global solar market but also contributes to the growing renewable energy infrastructure in the United States.

Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas Inc., shared his enthusiasm, stating, "This milestone marks the beginning of our ambitious plans for further expansion in the US, reinforcing our dedication to building a resilient domestic supply chain, supporting energy security in the US, and strengthening the India-US trade and energy partnership."

With this new facility, Waaree Energies is set to play a crucial role in advancing clean energy solutions, supporting energy security, and boosting the India-US trade relationship.
