Do you need a helping hand for new home installations or assembly services? You can book them on eBay now. Things like a new TV, bike, furniture, or just about anything that needs to be set up and installed will be handled by eBay, the company announced.
To kick start the new service, eBay has partnered with three companies: Handy, InstallerNet, and Porch. eBay has a list of products that will come with an option for customers to choose a installation and set up service. So, if you’re buying a product that requires installation, you can select a service from any of the three providers. Appointments and other communications will be handled by the partner you’ve chosen.
Partnering Profits
Today, eBay is among the largest retailers in the e-commerce space. A lot of products bought and sold on eBay require assembly and installation. The new partnership is an easy way for the people to tap into these services. Partnerships between retailers and handymen have been happening way before. An instance of Walmart and Handy partnering together to book installation appointments for shoppers is a good example here.
And not to forget the Amazon Home Services, launched back in 2015 that allows its users to hire professionals for a variety of services. But one needs to give credit to eBay’s technique of placing the service option right next to the purchase, making it brilliantly easy for users.
