There were several exciting rollouts at the AWS re:Invent yesterday. Among these was the new Security Hub that will give AWS users a comprehensive view of their “high-profile security alerts” and the status of compliance of all the AWS accounts.
With the brand new security hub in place, companies using Amazon Web Services can centrally manage compliance and monitor the overall security across the AWS accounts. AWS security hub will be sourcing its information from AWS services like Amazon Inspector, Amazon Macie, Amazon GuardDuty and other partners on the AWS Partner Network (APN). The aggregated information will be summarized in the form of actionable graphs and tables on the dashboards of the AWS security hub.
For the initial roll out the Security Hub has associated itself with quite an impressive number of security connoisseurs that include big names like CrowdStrike, IBM, McAfee, Symantec, Trend Micro, Barracuda, Armor, and many more. Andy Jassy, the Chief Executive Officer of AWS announced the release of the AWS Security Hub in his keynote speech.
You can begin your journey with the AWS Security Hub in a few clicks right now! Once enabled in the Management Console, the Hub will start aggregating and prioritizing its findings.
