A new partnership is on the rise between smart door locks and home security systems. In a new venture, August Smart Lock and Protect America have joined hands for better smart home integration. There are times when smart door locks and home security systems don’t work harmoniously. But not anymore!

The new partnership will present many new features and updates. So if you have August's Smart Lock Pro, you can automatically use Protect America’s Alexa skill to lock the door. Now burglars won’t have any sort of easy entrance when you are armed with this security system!

Apart from this, users can also use Protect America’s app to toggle the lock, instead of using August’s app. This could really help if you just don't want two separate icons! Also, the tie-ins won't always be needed if you're using proximity-based locking. It could be really helpful if other people in the house need to arm the system or simply if you want to lock things down for the night.
