The San Francisco based startup Tigera has announced that it has raised $30 million in its series B round. The round was led by Insight Venture Partners. Madrona, NEA, and Wing VC were the other investors who participated in this round.
Tigera is a company that has shown great zeal by offering great security and compliance solutions for Kubernetes container deployments. Kubernetes is being deployed extensively by enterprises all over the world. Commenting on Tigera, co-founder and MD of Insight Venture Partners said: “The market is growing rapidly both with the adoption of Kubernetes and also with enterprises now ready to go to production - and security and compliance are top of mind. We welcome Tigera to our portfolio and look forward to helping them scale their business.”
With a lot of interest being shown in Tigera for its security and compliance solutions, the company is bound to get a major boost from the fresh funding. The company plans to expand its engineering, marketing and customer success teams with the fresh money coming in. It may even set offices in different locations to scout for more talent. The company has been adopted by all the four major cloud players which shows how good Tigera is.
