Instagram secretly launched an app? Well, is it? Yeah, folks it launched a native payments feature to its app for selective users. You can now use your debit and credit card, set a security pin and begin purchasing things. This process is possible without leaving the website.
A spokesperson from Instagram confirmed that the payment feature can be used to book restaurants or salons live. Well, this facility is available only to limited partners. For now, Instagram will offer native payment for booking dinner at Resy.
Instagram says that in the coming years you can book movie tickets through the app. Instagram in the year 2017, had mentioned that they will develop new software to book a service with a business directly from their profile but, had not specifically said that it is native payments app.
It is confirmed that the payment settings are only provided for some users in the U.S. This new development can work because Instagram’s “Shoppable Tags,” which first began testing in 2016 to let you see which products were in a post and tap through to buy them on the brand’s site. It is since then that Instagram amalgamated with storefront platforms like BigCommerce and Shopify to get their clients stick to them and amplify the features to myriad countries.
