We all know that Walt Disney Co. is planning to launch a streaming service the following year which is already introduced by Netflix. But to make the platform more family friendly Netflix announced to reform its parental control.
Netflix already facilitates the service to guardians and parents to check on what their children are upto via a PIN system. The account holders should create a four-digit code and enter that code while watching movies or series while there are different categories like ‘little kids’(G), older kids(PG), ‘teens’(PG-13) or ‘adults’ (R, NC-17, NR, UR).
“While we already provide PIN protection for all content at a particular maturity level for Netflix accounts, PIN protection for a specific series or film provides families with an additional tool to make decisions they are comfortable with,” mentioned Mike Hastings, director of enhanced content in a blog post.
Added to this, Netflix will begin to display the maturity level rating required to watch a film or series before you click the play button. The firm wants the information to be descriptive and easy to understand with a quick glance. These changes will be made in a couple of months to all the Netflix users globally.
