Uber has introduced some new features to its app. London is the second city enjoying the benefits. Well, you might ask which the first city is. It is Denver, Colorado.

When users will open the application now, they will not just get ride-hailing options but also get a comparison of the trip charges with other transportation and time taken in reaching the destination.

Uber will provide London Underground and bus information along with tram, shuttle, train, traveler rail service covering Greater London.

Jamie Heywood, Uber’s regional general manager for Northern and Eastern Europe said, “London is home to the world’s most iconic public transport network, and we’re excited to now provide live transit information in the Uber app.”

“Over time, it’s our goal to help people replace their car with their phone by offering a range of mobility options — whether cars, bikes or public transport — all in the Uber app.”

London wants to curb pollution and congestion. The transport for London has charged all private for-hire vehicles with £11.50 daily as congestion fee.
