Rivada and Wiseband partner up

Emirati satellite services company Wiseband is partnering with Rivada Space Networks to launch a 600-LEO constellation for secure global connectivity in the Middle East region.

In order to offer secure connectivity solutions to the Middle East region, Wiseband, an Emirati satellite services company, is collaborating with Rivada Space Networks, a global network company that is launching a constellation of 600 low-earth-orbit satellites (LEO) to enable safe, global connectivity for governments and enterprises.

Wiseband, a Middle East and African company with its headquarters in the United Arab Emirates, offers specialized private satellite networking systems that are engineered to satisfy demanding security and high performance standards. The company is working on connectivity projects in Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The OuterNETTM, a revolutionary next-generation constellation from Rivada that combines intersatellite laser communications with sophisticated onboard processing to build an optical mesh network in space, is a worldwide low-latency point-to-point orbital network. With pole-to-pole coverage and end-to-end latencies that are lower than terrestrial fiber across comparable long distances, this orbital network — which maintains data in space from point of origin to point of destination — creates a very secure satellite network. Additionally, it adds an extra layer of protection for any enterprise needing to securely transfer data across widely dispersed facilities by routing traffic on a physically distinct network.

With greater bandwidth and enhanced security, Rivada's OuterNETTM for Enterprise and Government communications will offer a simple-to-deploy network that offers more dependable and resilient communications services.
