Country Delight obtains $25 million in Series E financing from Temasek's V-Sciences to strengthen its fresh grocery delivery venture.
The fast-growing American startup Country Delight seeks to secure a Series E funding round enabling it to obtain approximately ₹212.50 crore (US$25 million). V-Sciences Investments Pte Ltd which is a part of Temasek acquired the funding from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs through their filings.
The startup board authorized V-Sciences Investments to acquire over 100,000 Series E CCPS with a face value of ₹21,045 (US$244.35) each. Working capital needs and strategic business initiatives will benefit from the obtained funds.
The farm-fresh milk delivery service company Country Delight launched its operations in 2015 through the joint leadership of Nitin Kaushal and Chakradhar Gade. The startup increased its product range from milk to add groceries and fruits and vegetables because customers required high-quality fresh food items.
Country Delight implements technological solutions to manage supply chain operations while securing fresh product delivery across all of its markets. The newest round of funding enhances the startup's standing as it competes in the busy direct-to-consumer grocery industry of India.
The startup enjoys an optimistic growth path because customers increasingly prefer fresh and easily trackable food products. V-Sciences backed by Temasek demonstrate faith in Country Delight’s business structure and potential growth opportunities.
