Deutsche Telekom paves the way for seamless international IoT solutions, enhancing connectivity across Asia, Europe, and beyond.
In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the global Internet of Things (IoT) market, Deutsche Telekom has become the first European telecommunications company to join the Bridge Alliance, a coalition of 35 leading mobile communications providers spanning Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. This partnership, led by Deutsche Telekom’s IoT subsidiary, marks a significant milestone in the carrier's push towards greater internationalization in the IoT space.
The Bridge Alliance is renowned for delivering seamless connectivity and integrated value-added services, particularly in the IoT and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) sectors. By joining this powerful network, Deutsche Telekom aims to leverage the collective expertise of its new partners to offer robust, global IoT solutions to its customers.
Deutsche Telekom’s entry into the Bridge Alliance simplifies the process for companies aiming to launch and manage IoT solutions internationally. This partnership eliminates the need for businesses to navigate complex local provider arrangements, offering instead a streamlined solution with one global contract, a single service team, and an easy-to-manage access point for all IoT connections. Additionally, the carrier promises a simplified procurement process, complete with pre-optimized contracts and billing, uniform global service level agreements, and a single point of contact for customer support.
Notable members of the Bridge Alliance include telecommunications giants such as China Telecom, China Unicom, Maxis, Airtel, Telkomsel, SK Telecom, Softbank, Globe, Singtel, and stc. This powerful network of partners, combined with Deutsche Telekom’s expertise, positions the company to deliver unparalleled IoT services to a global customer base, driving innovation and connectivity on an international scale.
