United Airlines Flight 35 experienced an emergency landing in Los Angeles after a tire fell off the aircraft after takeoff from San Francisco. The flight landed safely.
Shortly after takeoff on Thursday from San Francisco, a tire came off a Boeing operated by United Airlines, forcing an emergency landing in Los Angeles.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft arrived safely at Los Angeles International Airport at approximately 1:30 p.m. local time after the flight crew reported a landing gear issue. The aircraft had 235 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and 4 pilots when it took off, and the FAA said it was headed for Osaka International Airport. The FAA is investigating this.
In order to meet the demands of both passengers and owners of damaged automobiles at San Francisco International Airport, the airline stated that it would collaborate with both groups. The airline did not specify what kind of automobiles were harmed, how they still remain unknown and if the loose tire caused any damage to them. Social media footage from the airport parking lot in San Francisco shows automobiles with damage and a dented fence that seems like a tire hit it.
With six tires on each of its two main landing gear struts, the Boeing 777-200 is designed to land safely even in the event of damaged or missing tires, according to the United States.
