Sennheiser, the manufacturer of top quality headphones, headsets, and earphones, has finally entered the truly wireless completion with its Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless earphones.
A single tap on the left earbud will play or pause audio, while on the right earbud it means to activate Google Assistant or Siri (based on your device); hold-down your finger on the left earbud to reduce volume, and to increase go to the right side; two taps will advance the track, and three taps is to rewind. This may sound convoluted, but Sennheiser is already said to be building an accompanying app that walks users through everything.
The Momentum True Wireless has outstanding passive noise cancellation and is fine-tuned to produce a really relaxed and friendly sound. The buds that hold a four-hour charge can be charged from flat to full in just 1.5 hours using a USB-C-powered case. It can also extend up to 12 hours via the recharging case. The earbuds have 7mm dynamic drivers also infuses a Qualcomm aptXTM for Bluetooth high-definition audio.
Sennheiser new wireless earphones are IPX4-certified for splash resistance and are a champ in the area where its rival AirPods are the weakest: noise isolation. But the stumbling block is its price - $299 for a truly wireless audio, and twice the price of a set of AirPods. While many argue that Momentum True Wireless is going to be disruptive in the very ‘mobile’ world, it’s going to be tougher for Sennheiser to justify its worth.
