Google Assistant came with another enhancement for Whirlpool dishwasher. Whirlpool already has features from Google Assistant but that is not enough. New features include more concise functional Google Home commands and the expansion of remote appliance control to all regions where Whirlpool Connected appliances are available.
The company announced that they have plans to utilize Google Home capabilities to new products from other Whirlpool Corporation brands.
“We’re thrilled to offer a better experience for our consumers with our smart appliances, not just in the U.S., but now around the world,” Jason Mathew, senior director of Global Connected Strategy at Whirlpool Corporation.
He also added that the company is making all efforts to enhance the software and have been continuously working on consumer feedback and making it easy for the users in using this technology. Now it is easy to converse with your Whirlpool dishwasher and Whirlpool confirmed that ovens, microwaves, dishwashers are some of the appliances with the voice command.
The updates are that users need not use the brand name hereafter say for instance, earlier to preheat the oven, users had to say “OK, Google ask Whirlpool to preheat the oven in 425 degrees” but now the command can be “OK Google, preheat the oven to 425 degrees.”
